Meh on Talented baby squirrel
Sigh. This is gonna be like "Don't pick up what you've thrown away"'s review, all over again. You troglodytes love this one, but here I come, trashing it, and then you respond with an avalanche of downvotes, and then I threaten you to exterminate your family, and then I do it, the children too, and then I get tired of killing cause my àss is very heavy, get uncomfy, and in the end nobody is happy.
You, obviously, because I criticized the manga, and also the extermination thing I guess, and mostly importantly me, because violence is haaaaardddd. On my joints, not conscience.
Still, I have a job to do. So, here we go:THIS MANGA IS IRRITATING. And I don't like it.
The art is okay I guess, but cutesy af. The real problem is the plot, the characters and the writing in general.
The premise is the tried and true "Traumagirl gets loved by daddy" trope. I usually eat that fluffy shìt up like a bìtch. But this is NOT how you do it.
The story is braindead. It is. It is clinically comatose. 80 chs of pure nonsense. And not for lack of excuses. Oh no, the manga knows, and búllshits you until the end.
Why doesn't she tell him what she suffered? "'Cause trauma!". Okay then, why doesn't he realize something is afoot? "'Cause daddy is stupid, but also observant!". Okay, but the brother must know, right? "He is too focused on the fluffy tail!" Fine, but then again, she is a traumatized child yet she is able to devise anti-famine plans? "Yes, cause her mind is adult!" But not antiabuse plans. "No, even if she canonically knows better!". And also the adults listen to her? "Yes and they want to erect statues in her honor!".
Does it all make sense? Maybe... being generous. Is it enjoyable? Fùck no. If you want to give me drama, it gotta be justified, not this contrived and poorly paced mess. The plot just stagnates in cutesy shenanigans that aren't even believably cute.
It's a 6½ on the Ivern Scale™️. Aggravatingly boring at best, downright infuriating at worst. Nice art tho.
