Hello. I think it's time. It's time for me to mint a new word. A new original Ivern Creation™️. We all know about "character development", right? The cast changes with the unraveling of the story.
Today we'll speak about "character emerging". I'm defining it as a technique where there isn't any change in the characterization, only never seen before and unexpected responses to NEW stimuli. Bit by bit, you expose your character to new situations and you make it react in a complex, multifaceted but consistent way. The audience gets to witness new sides to them, while remaining coherent with the already established personality.
I think this one is great at it, and it's not really easy to pull off. The archetypes are also interesting: genuine good person FL, tsundere sweetie pie ML, and Sinwoo. You need to open the Sinwoo package by yourself.
So, a great and stable characterization, pretty phenomenal art with its moments of sparkly budget injections, and good romance.
A find the pacing juuuust a tiny bit too relaxed by my standards. It takes a while to gain momentum, and we just reached a nice speed at chapter 50. Could be better, especially at holding attention.
Still, very enjoyable and somewhat relaxing. 8½ on the Ivern Scale™️.
