The manga entirely revolves around FL. On paper, it should be rather refreshing. FL lived her entire life to get recognized by others. She was rigid, and humorless. Then she died. Now she wants to live for herself.
Are you sold yet? Well I was. Plenty of new experiences to be had, especially when such splendid art is to be used as a mirror to show em. We could have had it all, babe. Think of the glorious, sparkly adventure it could have been.
Except FL is a piece of cardboard. After 100 chapters, I remember nary a thing about her. In exactly two (2) occasions, she seems clever in the way she handles our antagonist, but the rest? A bubbly and vapid lonely girl which is good at everything tries to go out more. The end.
I am not satisfied with the way she handles daddy, or as the comment section dubbed him, FILTH (Father I'd Like To Hit). Not satisfied with the romance, either. I know the novel didn't have a real ML, but then, what did it have? FL being a relatively boring bossbabe?
It's all very insipid. The male cast too, is very flat: a stereotypical naughty magician and a handsome goody-two-shoes knight. The only thing that left an impact is the positively demonic sheaningans of the antagonist, Colette. So insufferable and infuriating you actually start to like her, especially when she gives you the "I am Death, Destroyer of Worlds" eldritch stare.
I dunno. The art is a nine, but if you don't give me an interesting plot, then the characterization has to be up to par. I simply don't give a fu** about FL. Sowwy. 7½ on the Ivern Scale™️, cause of the sheer effort put in Joseph's blushes.
