Pretty good on How to Get My Husband on My Side
Do you know what a Popori is? A Popori is a nice, fat, fluffy, big bunny-like tube of lard. It is cute, it is very squishy, it has beady eyes devoid of all emotion, very puffy cheeks and a hollow mouth able to be opened up to 3 feet of radius containing the bones of the children it devoured.
That is a Popori. And it's both the main ML of this story (canon) and also a metaphor for the manga itself.
Look! Look at the shiny art! It is dazzling and attractive! Look at how se** ML is! He's got a real bo**-door. Look at the cute sheaningans FL gets into! Lol isn't she such a dork, falling and tripping every three chapters? Uwu uwu Izek is tsundere and he caaaauuugh the feeeellsssss look how much he is simping for heeee-
stop. Now the manga opens its monstrous mouth. Gaze upon the vivid, physical and psychological abuse, so very realistic. Eating disorders, manipulation, fuc**** battering, torture, self harm, animal abuse. Feel the weight of TWO WHOLE FUC*** LIVES of crippling mental trauma reducing FL to a useless, conditioned doll, unable to have agency, incapable of saving herself. Constantly locked into her own maladaptive behaviors, desperately trying to escape another beating, begging to die just to fuc**** make it all st-
Do you see? Do you understand the problem here? The writing is unbalanced. The form itself is pretty unstable, even a professional translation found elsewhere struggles to make sense of it, being full of idioms from the original Korean.
It's even worse because I buy FL's pain, but then we revert back to this happy go lucky "gotta act innocent teehee" that's really dissonant with The Trauma Freight Train which is gonna crash in your a** two panels from now. The tone shift doesn't gel with the admittedly pretty articulated characterization.
And I'll be honest. It's an heavy read. It's both vapid and incredibly heavy. Not for everyone. Not like this. 8½ on the Ivern Scale™️. Would've liked a monster harem ending.

Pretty good on I’m A Shy and Poor Otaku but This Beautiful Rich Young Lady is Obsessed with Me
This series is great! I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that, as of September 2023, there has not been an update in 2 months, so I'm afraid the series might have been canceled, and I can't give a perfect score to a series with no resolution. But it's a shame, because the story is great.

Gosh every chapter is so godamnnn good I used to skip the other chapters because I thought go yohan would be the suspect but whenever I read the next chapter gosh so this is what go yohan as jooha is doing ack now I'm so addicted to this manhwa but for real I feel like I was about to bomb because that bully just said bl is disgusting ugh haish
