Rocks on A Princess's Guide to Saving Dragons
"Foul Female Lead... in search of the elden bling. Emboldened... by the flame of ambition. Someone must extinguish thy flame. Let it be B***.to's comment section."
The average reader isn't fond of Yumi's life choices. She is atypical, because she is a protagonist in a romance story with priorities that differ from love. Yumi wants power. She wants authority. In a way, freedom bought with patience and hard work. And she thinks she can grasp it, she can see it, it's just one step away, one inch far from her hands.

In a way, freedom bought with patience and hard work. And she thinks she can grasp it, she can see it, it's just one step away, one inch far from her hands.
Between her and it, two men. One is offering power and asks love for it, the other is offering love, asking to sacrifice power in its name. Where will she go? Because, in any other josei, this story would've ended on chapter fücking 55. But not here. Here we stay on the precarious balance. You feel dejected and unstable, unsecure, because Yumi desires things that are beyond the scope of a romance story. Love is rather simple to get. A crown? A crown requires sacrifices. And constant peril.
The result is a rather enjoyable drama, with great characters and a surprisingly hōrny plot. (And I welcome it, by the way. I am nothing but consistent). The pacing quickly gains steam after the first introductory chapters, and goes at full speed from the second half onwards.
Of course, you will need to get used to the art. A bit bland, but competent. The style is peculiar, I can't say I like how it renders their eyes, but the design and wardrobe of the cast are quality sh**. They are also full of charm and personality, both sides and mains, and I find their interactions incredibly interesting.
A better visual department is all I could ask more of it. As for the translation, seek the official one on other shores. Everything considered and summarized, it's a 9+ on the Ivern Scale™️.
