4.5 - slightly spoilery maybe and a ted talk
ppl hate on this one a lot for being toxic and fuc*** up and yadayada this isnt incorrect, but it removes the context and impact of the story.
LuckyParadise is supposed to be toxic because its a realistic portrayl of a complex love story. "Pure, non-toxic" love is virtually non existent, and for a context as complicated as Chunwoo and Hoins, ofc its going to be toxic, complicated, and take time!
one has been in a toxic messed up situationship his whole life, hes bever been in a relationship, let alone a healthy one, and he doesnt know what love is or looks like. The other has been loved his whole life and doesnt know how not to love. Its bound to crash! they realise and recognise this, throughout the story we get insights into both mcs state of mind and thoughts, and imo the communication between the two is wayyyy better than given credit for. Its just that both are at different stages!
What makes this story beautiful is that it shows two ppl who really want to be loved and be together learn how to love eachother and be together and heal together. Def recommend if youre someone who can understand this and is willing to feel a rollar coaster or emotions!
